DescriptionThe house was the former Bastide of the Chateau St Fereol that has been sympathetically converted into a really beautiful residence. It is situated in the country, surrounded by the vineyards of the Domaine St Fereol, which is owned by the same family, as is the Chateau, and from where you can buy wine made from the grapes from the vineyards surrounding the house. The house has loads of character and history. The garden is enormous with large trees, a swimming pool and an area for playing boule. The whole sleeps 16 to 18, in 9 bedrooms, with 2 sitting rooms and 2 kitchens. AccommodationThe accommodation is divided into three parts. The main house is on the ground floor and is the largest part. It has a wonderful entrance hall, through a front door to die for. There is a sitting room with an open fireplace, and a mezzanine, with a TV. It is nicely furnished with antique French furniture, and is comfortable as well as attractive. There is a dining room, a double bedroom and a single bedroom; both share a bathroom with a bath. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, and all the utensils that you will need. There is a cellar for the wine, and a laundry with a washing machine. The second part of the house is joining the main house, but can be divided off. It consists of three double bedrooms, two with their own bidet and hand basin, and one single, all share a shower room and a bathroom. There are stairs to another bedroom with three singles, this room has a sloping ceiling and is adored by children. Laptop/internet connection (daily/weekly), bikes, baby equipment and a number of other items are available for hire. The third part of the house is an apartment which can also be divided off and is accessible from the main house. It comprises of a double bedroom and a bedroom with two bunk beds, a shower room, and a separate wc. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher,and washing machine. The sitting room is a nice size, and has a sofa bed as well as comfortable chairs. OutsideThere is a very large garden with a swimming pool 12 x 6 metres and large steps to get in. There is also an area to play boule. You can walk to the Chateau and the the wine Domaine. It is a quiet location with masses of history and charm. CommentsDuring July and August the house is only let as a whole (for up to 16 people). During other months the main house (sleeps 3) and apartment (sleeps 4) can be rented individually. Also, outside of July and August, the main house plus the adjoining annex can be rented together (sleeping 3 + 9 = 12). Note: the annex must be rented in conjunction with the main house.
