Initial Application Initial enquiries should be made to Chez Domaine quoting the appropriate reference number of the property(s) that interests you. Firstly please check the appropriate rental rate for your intended period of stay and your budget requirements. Also, check out our Guest Services and note any services of interest in your email or in the 'Special Requirements' or 'Comments' areas of the Booking Form.
Booking Periods Generally bookings are for a minimum of one (1) week - Saturday to Saturday. Enquiries can be made for other arrival and departure days, which will be subject to the owners/representative decision. This may be possible only in the low seasons.
Booking Confirmations Chez Domaine will endeavour to respond to your enquiry within 24 hours with precise availability and applicable rental charges. Subject to your acceptance, a tentative booking will then be recorded and held for 48 hours, awaiting your confirmation to proceed with a firm booking.
Chez Domaine Booking Form Please complete the Chez Domaine booking form and forward a 35% deposit of the advised total rental charge via Bank Transfer. We will allow five (5) working days from the date of this booking notification, for these funds to be transferred. Failure to meet these exact terms, may jeopardise our ability to proceed with your preferred booking.
Deposit Upon receipt of the deposit payment, a booking confirmation and e-receipt will be forwarded to you. This advice will constitute a formal acceptance of the booking. Details will also be provided at this time, regarding the date and procedure for payment of the rental balance. The final balance of rental payment will be due and payable, ten (10) weeks (70 days) prior to your home departure date. All enquirers seeking to secure a booking for a rental period commencing less than twelve (12) weeks (84 days), from their intended home departure date, will be required to pay the entire rental charge in one payment, within five (5) working days from notification of a desired availability.
Cancellations In the event of cancellation, the following considerations will apply; If cancellation occurs more than thirteen (13) weeks (91days) from the rental commencement date, a full refund, less a 65 euros (Admin fee) will be granted. Notification between 90 to 61 days will result in forfeiture of 50% of the deposit paid. Notification between 60 to 43 days will result in forfeiture of 75% of the total rental paid. Notification within 42 days of the rental commencement date will result in forfeiture of the entire rental payment. ( see - Travel Insurance details below)
Security Deposit The owners of most properties, as indicated on the individual property description page(s) may require the payment of a bond (typically 300 euros). This sum, will be advised, and payable direct to the owner or his/her representative, when you arrive at the rental premises. (Please, respect this arrangement and have available adequate local currency at the time of arrival) This amount will be returned upon departure less any agreed costs not included in the rental rate. ( e.g. phone,(* see separate advice) linen hire, pool maintenance, firewood etc) as well as any damage or cleaning costs to the property. This arrangement is entirely outside of the Chez Domaine Rental Agreement and represents a private arrangement between yourself and the owner/representative. Chez Domaine is not to be held responsible for any matters arising from this arrangement.
Arrival and Departure Dates In most circumstances, the property owner or representative will provide a meet and greet service, so that arrival formalities can be completed. Chez Domaine will provide address and phone contact details of the owner/representative, in the event of changed travel arrangements whilst in France, so that revised arrangements if necessary, can be made from those indicated prior to your departure. Arrival time is generally after 4.00pm Saturday, and departure must normally be, by 9.00am on the Saturday.It is understood that no refund, claim for credit, or extension to the rental period will be provided for late or "no-show" arrivals.
Renters Obligations Renters will need to be aware and accept that self-catering properties in France, may differ in presentation and level of facilities, commonly accepted in some countries. Many traditional properties, often centuries old, although having undergone extensive renovations, may display older and difficult to use facilities. These features must be realised and accepted as part of the ambiance and lifestyle, experienced in a different part of the world.
Care of the Property You will be required to maintain for the duration of the rental period, the property in a clean and presentable state, as indicated upon arrival by the owner/representative. This standard of presentation will be inspected at the time of departure and if not complied to, estimated remedial costs may be charged by the owner/representative. The number of individuals residing in the rental property must not exceed the agreed number advised at the time of booking confirmation. Failure to comply with this term, may result in the owner/representative terminating this agreement or imposing a surcharge.
Travel Insurance It is highly recommended that adequate travel/personal insurance cover, be arranged prior to overseas departure. This matter should be arranged at the time of booking confirmation, so as to provide protection in the event of cancellation.
Chez Domaine Obligations In the unlikely event that Chez Domaine has to make changes to confirmed arrangements and if we are unable to secure a similar featured and priced property, we shall cancel the booking and arrange for the immediate refund all monies paid. Chez Domaine will not be held responsible or liable for any further obligations arising from this event.
It must be realised that the decision to rent accommodation and use of all associated amenities, is entirely at the renters risk. Swimming pools will either have security fencing or an alarm or security cover, the gate to the pool must be kept closed at all times. The alarm on or the cover in place when there is no one swimming. No responsibility can be accepted by the owner or representative, for any event resulting in death, injury, loss of personal affects, or damage whatsoever, to the renter, or his/her guests personal property.
Swimming pools will be opened on the first of June each year unless otherwise stated
The renter will be responsible for the behaviour of the residents and invited visitors to the rental property. The owner/representative reserves the right to request any person or party engaging in irresponsible acts, to vacate the property. Any such action may result in immediate termination of the Rental Agreement.
