Arrival and Departure Dates
In most circumstances, the property owner or representative will provide a meet and greet service, so that arrival formalities can be completed. Chez Domaine will provide address and phone contact details of the owner/representative, in the event of changed travel arrangements whilst in France, so that revised arrangements if necessary, can be made from those indicated prior to your departure. Arrival time is generally after 4.00pm Saturday or which ever day has been agreed, and departure must normally be, by 9.00am on the Saturday, or which ever day has been agreed. It is understood that no refund, claim for credit, or extension to the rental period will be provided for late or “no-show” arrivals.
Renters will need to be aware and accept that self-catering properties in France, may differ in presentation and level of facilities, commonly accepted in some countries. Many traditional properties, often centuries old, although having undergone extensive renovations, may display older and difficult to use facilities. These features must be realised and accepted as part of the ambiance and lifestyle, experienced in a different part of the world.
We do our utmost to describe the properties as they are, however we shall not be held responsible for any misunderstandings of the descriptions and/or changes to the properties and their inclusions. Owners upgrade and change the properties from time to time. Most of the houses are the owners’ homes when not being let and are not specifically for holiday rental, this will mean that there are personal items in most of the properties. Please respect this. If you have any specific requirements or do not understand the description please ask and we shall give you an honest answer.
Care of the Property
You will be required to maintain for the duration of the rental period, the property in a clean and presentable state, as indicated upon arrival by the owner/representative. This standard of presentation will be inspected at the time of departure and if not complied to, estimated remedial costs may be charged by the owner/representative. The number of individuals residing in the rental property must not exceed the agreed number advised at the time of booking confirmation. Failure to comply with this term, may result in the owner/representative terminating this agreement or imposing a surcharge.
It is highly recommended that adequate travel/personal insurance cover, be arranged prior to overseas departure. This matter should be arranged at the time of booking confirmation, so as to provide protection in the event of cancellation.
Chez Domaine Obligations
In the unlikely event that Chez Domaine has to make changes to confirmed arrangements and if we are unable to secure a similar featured and priced property, we shall cancel the booking and arrange for the immediate refund all monies paid. Chez Domaine will not be held responsible or liable for any further obligations arising from this event.
